    DTS Decoding

    Hello,

    I have a few questions regarding the topic,  I have a BV5 and a DVD1 with a surround setup.

1: Do any of these have DTS decode?  I think I just realise they don't after playing with a DVD with DTS, so I am not sure.

2: Where is the decode of these surround take place on, the TV or the DVD player?

3: Does the new DVD2 have DTS decode?

4: Is DTS better than Dolby Digital?  Or they the same?

    Thanks

Your TV may need a SW update to handle DTS, do you have a RCA phono cable between DVD1 (digi out) and BV5?

    Re: DTS Decoding

The Decoding is done in the TV, not in the DVD player. With DVDs, you have to manually choose the DTS soundtrack in the DVD's menu as it isn't selected automatically, and yes, DTS is better than Dolby Digital.
