TX 2 Turntable - tone arm

I purchased a TX 2 in magnificent condition which just happened to have a mint MMC1 cartridge! However, when I push the play button the tone arm stops short of the record and platter and my precious MMC 1 lands  on the deck.  I'm afraid to monkey with the train which carris the tone - How can I correct this. Re: TX 2 Turntable - tone arm

    Hi Bill,

This situation can be corrected with a simple adjustment. It is fully explained, with a drawing, in the service manual which can be downloaded from this site.

    http://www.beoworld.org/download.asp?file=BG8500-9000-9500-TX2_service-eng.pdf

The only tool required is an ordinary screwdriver.

    Regards Graham

Graham: Thanks for advice - For some reason, my computer won't download the manual - do I have to convert the download to another system?

It's a pdf file so you will need Acrobat reader to view it.

You need to download the manual from the main Beoworld website. It will download as a .pdf file and if you have Acrobat reader installed on your computer it should open automatically.
