I have a pair of 3000s and alone these are simply superb speakers for thier size, excellent prize for a lucky member!!!

Compared to the way your sofas are disposed, I find the postion of the speakers quite srange, or are they not connected to the BV6?

No, they're not. I know it doesn't look like the perfect place for the speakers, but it actually works quite well.

The mounting of my Beovox 4500 speakers is how the B&O designer had intended. You may wish to review the Beolab/Beovox user manual HERE

What is the bass performance like with these beauties?  In my opinion it would look a whole lot better if the speaker cables could be routed through the wall cavities...

The bass performance is very good in my view. You will not see ANY cables from ANY of my speakers. The cables come out of the wall just below the terminals at the back and run through conduit, so they can be replaced if ever need.
