For those Beo5 pre-orderers in the UK what has your dealer said the price will be?

Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?

I'm not gonna tell my girlfriend the real price ;-)

What a shame that the physical keys on the beo 5 are not backlit.

Hopefully it will be possible to control Frontrow on the Macs with it. So we have a highend remote for such things :)

    Hello again misled,

    Greetings from Genf!

Do you have a very close contact with a (very good) B&O dealer by chance?

It seems to me that you have always some weeks of advance over all of us, the rest of mortals...

Congratulations for your new toy !!!

    Salutations mon ami.

It's my duty to know, begin "THE STIG" Cool and it's a cinema remote so need to be able to see the buttons in the dark. a little detail: the light is regulated after the surrounding lights in the room.

I visited my dealer at lunchtime with the intention to order one, but he would not give me the configuration software... so I won't buy it...

I'll do other dealers this week-end and see, or wait until it appears for download on Beoworld.

The funny thing is that the dealer said B&O expected it to "float" on beoworld!!!

You will not be able to use the SW. because you need a dealer login to B&O Dealer network, for the program to work. And I don't think any dealer will give you his username and pasword...

You need the log in for the guide with the logos but I think you can use the one without the logos freestanding. All slight speculation as the Beo5 is not around yet!! Smile

Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?

I was using the software yesterday and it asked my B&O credentials to use, i could also use it in offline mode but since i dont have the remote connected Im not sure how it will work. Im pretty sure they will make it that is used by the dealer only otherwise i dont see the point of having the log in screen.

That is correct, there are about 4000 symbols/logo's in the Beo-5, so enough to choose.

It will take a dealer within 5 minutes to make the Beo-5 for your personal use..... great!

Hmm 5 min Iam not sure about thatIndifferent
