    Beovox Penta Questions....

    Beoworlders,

I'm still searching for a good pair of speakers for in my bedroom. Firt I thought some second life 8000's would match very nice with my Beocenter 9500, but there's not so much bass in this speaker and I haven't got a good place for a bl2 or B&W pv1.

After searching, searching and searching there a 3 speakers left on my list:
    Sonus Faber - Concertino
    Arrow - Zeta
and maybe the Beovox Penta beacuse the Beolab is way to big

My question is if the Penta would match with the power of the bc9500. I also want to ask if someone can tell me how big the beovox is because I can't find anything about that instead of the beolab. My bedroom is about 3x5mtr so I'm not waiting for a big monster....

     Rogér,

    Re: Beovox Penta Questions....

    Hi,

    Have a look at :

    Beovox Penta

The amplifier (Beolab 150) is around 13 cm high,

so the Beovox Penta is around 13 cm less high than a Beolab Penta ,

    approximately 140 cm high.

Remember that you need to change 2 X 4 midrange speakers if you choose Penta, but Penta doesent  sound optimal in a small room. I have four them in my main room powered by ICEpower.

    BeoLab 3000/4500

I will go for the  wallspeakers  BeoLab 3000/ 4500, or if you can find them,- BeoLab 5000. They sound great in bedrooms ( I have four  in my bedroom in a Dolby Surround set-up with a 32" BeoVision 3 . and they have no problems with the broken/old speakers and they sound very musical in a small room

    Re: Beovox Penta Questions....

Ok, thanks for the information. I think 140cm high is still to large for my bedroom so the Penta's can be shifted away from my list Sad. The problem with the wall speakers is the wall... because I've got a huge window (from the ground to the top of the room) behind my stereo.

I hope the Concertino will match my bc9500 (ofcourse with the grill on it Big Smile)
