I have just purchased a replacement battery for a beocom 5000 from a company in Germany. It said it was also suitable for this phone but when I put it in there was no sign of recharging. With my other battery the light on the base unit goes blinking green meaning that the phone is charging. With this new battery nothing happens except you can hear a tiny tic coming from the battery every 3-4 seconds.
I have checked many times and I am sure I have inserted the battery correctly, same position as the other one.
What do you think could be the cause of the problem?
