    Passive Kit OVERRIDE

I've got 3 passive kits now for my system.....and the 1 i've got for the home gym (i've got a TV in the GYM too)....

So i'll Masterlink the Passive with the Downstairs Master system.....BUT

WHat if I ran in an INPUT to the Powerlink too.......would 1 override the other.... I'm wanting to get TV shound thru the Passive when I want and then Masterlink sound when I want....any ideas???

    THanks, K

By using AV + TV it will play the sound from your master TV then you just have to set it to the same channel as your link TV.

The Power link connection will not work as long as it connected to Maser link

Is this to any help ?

    Hi Frank,

There is a way to do exactly what you want to do...but you need 2 more things, a BeoLink Active and the PC input adaptor.

Stay with me for just one moment....  Connect the MasterLink, and the 'eye' to the Active kit, use the PC Input adaptor to connect RCA(Phono cables) frpom the TV to the PC input on the Active kit, use a FULLY wired Powerlink to connect the PL output on the Active Kit to tthe PL socket on the Passive kit, add "PC' to your Beo4 remote, and you're done!!

Yep Russ, that does it....now i just need the Ebay gods to look down on me....jajajajajaa

The PC imput allows complete flexibility...and I really don't need to Waste a Passive Amp...correct??  I could just adapt the Powerlink outs on the Active to RCA's and use any cheaper AMP with RCA's as inputs....

Active Kits with PC adaptors give the most flexability (similar to MCL 2 AV) yes??

    Thanks, K

    Hi again....

How do I add PC to the BEO4 remote???  Is it software...or just some buttons to push???  The remote is in Cali, Colombia....not the hotspot of technology.....jajajaajjaa.a

    Re: Passive Kit OVERRIDE

Presumably i could use this with the active and a Samsung TV audio output? Thus having the sound direct from the telly.

Anyone have a picture and part number of the PC input adapter?

    Great tip..

    Beoaus.

    Hi Frank,

On the Beo4 press 'List' and 'Stand By' at the same time the display will say 'Add?' press 'Go', look for 'PC' on the list of options, press 'Go', the Beo4 will say 'Added'.  You're ready to use.

    Re: Passive Kit OVERRIDE

You switch inputs just like you always do on a Beo4, press the button (or use 'list' and 'go') for the input you want.  The PC Iput Adaptor uses a nonstandard B&O part number in the US, as it is locallay sourced.  Check with your local shop.
