    Beomaster 1000 FM aerial connection

Is it still possible to get an FM aerial to fit a BM1000? It has a large Red connection for the aerial. My BM900 has the same type.

    Hi Craig,

I use a pair of banana plugs and a ribbon-type antenna. Works well enough.

It would be so nice looking to have a telescopic antenna rising from the back though - I searched Maplins, CPC and Farnell for a plug so I could make up my own but to no avail.

    Cheers,

Thanks Steve, that would be fine as where I have it I would not be able to extend a telescopic one anyway.

    Hi Craig.
The two Beomaster 1000s I got last week for £3.20 have both been adapted.
One has some coax sticking out of the grill and the other has a coax plug fitted (badly) like the ones on the back of a telly.
They both sound wonderfulYes - thumbs up

Just got some Banana plugs from Ebay. £2.75 inc P&P. Somewhere I have a ribbon aerial, just need to find it.Laughing

    Way to go Smile

If it's doing a good job of hiding (like my stuff does!) ordinary twin-core cable will do if you split the ends by the right length, approx a yard.

Well at the moment I have an old screwdriver stuck in the connection. Seems to be working though.

Oh wow - result! I remember seeing them and toyed with the idea of getting them but chickened out when I read they had been modded. Glad they turned out okay for you.
