    B&O MMC 1 Cartridge

I recently purchased a TX turntable from an estate.  It was in an absolute  mint condition.  It Included the original  manual and some original  advertising catalogues.  I am a greenback as far as B&O are concerned.  The turntable included what appeared to be a mint condition cartridge. I assumed  wrongly that the higher the number of the cartridge (MMC 5) the better the quality.  I WAS DISSAPOINTED TO DISCOVER THAT THE CARTRIDGE WAS JUST AN MMC 1!!!.  Research on the net disclosed that not only were `1's unavailable, but were worth  a thousand dollars.

My friends  all have tin ears and wouldn't appreciate the sound generated by an MMC 1,  I purchased an MMC 3 to replace the 1 which I am going to place on sale.  I might point out that the MMC 3 sells for $500.00, however I was lucky to buy from an unknowing seller who didn't realize the value of the MMC1.  I have no intent in gouging a B&O turntable owner who will enjoy this beautiful cartridge.  I will accept the first caller who bears in mind that this cartridge is hand made and is no longer available. I don't want to be taken advantage of.  I will also guarantee the cartridge for 2 weeks

That is quite a find and congratulations, although I dont know where you got your information from about availability and prices. The MMC 1-5 are still freely available from a company called soundsmith in the US, a new MMC1 is $599 and an MMC3 $229.  So perhaps not a rare as you may have been lead to believe.Still you could help someone out who is need of a cartridge with your offer, you just might not get as much as you were wishing for.
