    Beosound 2 OSX and iTunes

Had a look at the forums but can't find the answer to my question.

What is the most recent iTunes OSX that is fully compatible with Beosound 2? I mean so that it shows up in in iTunes and all tracks can be organised in folders. I'm using 4.6, but as I've a MacBook Pro, I'd like a Universal Binary iTunes.
    Many thanks.

I am using iTunes 7.3.2 (6) on a G4 iMac with the BS2 plugin. It (usually) works well
but is flakey at times. This has more to do with the software than the version of iTunes.
I don't know about Intel-chipped Macs but look forward to hearing about your experience in readiness for my (later this year) Macbook.

Like me an intel iMac user, drag and drop is still possible. I open the SD folder with a USB 2.0 card reader and go into macintosh HD and search through the music files, then drag and drop the files into the sd. It is an unpleasant way of doing it, but once it's all sorted, you have the most gorgeous sounding and looking mP3 player Big Smile

Isn't it possible to drag and drop from iTunes to the SD card??

sure it is always possible... actually this is the fastest method.

But I guess they mean they wanna connect beosound 2 directly to computer, it is the slowest method.

Re: Beosound 2 OSX and iTunes

    Hi thanks for the replies.

Yes, I'd like to be able to connect directly from iTunes to the Beosound and organise them into albums.

gk31ax, if you want to use your Beosound 2 try going back to iTunes 4.6. It works.

The reason for my request is that I'm using a MacBook Pro and I'd like a Universal Binary app, as it would be much quicker at ripping cds, etc.

    Steve.
