    Beolink Active Reference Manual error????

Okay..... not to be the alarmist of the site.....

Who else has a Beolink Active????  The reference manual shows that there are 2 active speakers connected to the Beolink active...indicating that there are 2 Powerlinks ....yes???

The problem is....I've got detailed notes that on my Active it says 1 is Powerlink and 1 is Datalink???? What's up with that??

I know it doesn't make sense as you'd have to add a powerlink splitter to get stereo....

I've shipped mine down to south america....and i'm really wondering what the deal is with this.....

    Hi Frank

I have BeoLink Active, and it is true, there IS only one powerlink socket. You have to daisy-chain your speakers, or get a splitter. Not entirely logical - but who has ever blames B&O for being logical......

Thanks Lunds....so ....since it's not in the manuals......what does it DO??????????

I mean...is an Active also a ML driver??

Could you Datalink in from an older Beocenter and then come out of that with Active speakers AND MASTERLINK...?????

     The possibilities open....

    True!

This beolink active with 2 powerlinks shown in the manual reference is the old model, recent beolink active models only have 1 powerlink, and 1 datalink for computers wich is in fact obsolete! (only woks with the old PClink version and with old windows OS version...)

This useless datalink output in the new Beolink Active devices, has been substituted by the new Beoport.
