    Static on a Beoworld 9000 stand

    Hi all

    I've got a static charge going through my Beo Sound 9000 stand when the sytems is turned on....any idea if you can earth the stand at all?

    Is this a recent occurence or has it always been the case with your system?

    It's always been there...It's not the system as I've tried it else where, something to do with my house I think.

    Actually, this is quite a common issue particularly on very dry days, not a lot of those lately in the UK.

    The Beosound 9000 along with most other modern B&O equipment does not have a mains earth connection because the chassis and signal grounds are isolated. You can earth the stand without problems. If it is near a metal radiator pipe, that would be OK for a static discharge path.

    The best way is to run an earth wire from one of the screws on the backplate down the same route as the mains cable in the tube support and out the back to a suitable earth connection.
