    Beosystem 2 -- operate with -- Panasonic TH-42PX700B

    Can anyone help please  ?

The setup between BS2 and a Panasonic TH42-PX700B plasma ??

When connected via the pc input it will not see the correct signal and the panel shows 60hz when connected - with no picture ??

    I believe the BS2 is 50hz with 576p ?

     would a scaler/converter do the trick ?

Is there also a way to add a rs232 to the Panasonic to switch the panel ?

    Thanks

     Regards   Brockely

    Just answered a similar question!

Yes, it sounds like you need the CP251F from Lektropacks for the frame rate change.

You can switch the panel using a Lintronic box and program it to take the serial output from the BS2 and turn it into a IR command to the screen

    Hi Frog ,

Can you give any advice please ?   or anyone who has overcome this problem

I have purchased a Lektropacs   CP255H  scaler/conveter and I have had no joy with set up !

     Using a 15 pin D plug -- RGBHV 575p 50HZ   from the Beosystem 2   into the scaler using - 15 pin D plug and tried  3RCA composite

The Panasonic  will see the Scaler (and the on screen menu) via the HDMI ouput an locks up at 60HZ 1080i  - but no signal into the scaler from the B&O

Has anyone overcome this problem - apart from spending big money on a B&O 5  , nice as it my budget will not reach that far yet

     Thanks Brockely

Since I am thinking about a similar configuration: Did you solve the issues?

    Does it work now?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ralf ,

I have now got the Beosystem 2 working , by entering the sub menu when it is connected to a B&O plasma.

The sub menu needs to be entered -  when in the set up menu press ' 00'  ' go'  and check the plasma version setup   --   plasma version PDP 42 D8    then using  --   VGA-input  set to   VGA/Ypbpr  and the DPD slot1 to the same setting ,

Connecting the CP251F to the BS2  setting the input to 576p 50HZ  --  and the output at XGA 60 - seems to work fine .
