I have a Beolab 2, and it has some impregnated stains in the casing.
Can anyone recommend how to remove them without ruining the casing?
My B&O: 2009 Catalogue and Pricelist
To remove stains use a microfibre towel and solution of water and mild detergent.
BS 1, BeoCom 2, 2x LC 2, Form 2, BS 2, BS 3, 2x Beo 4, BS 5, BM 5, BL 5,Beo 6, BS 6, 2x A8, BV 8-40, BL 8000, 3x A9 Keyring, Serenata, BeoTime, BeoTalk 400
Throw in the towel straight away! Impossible to clean all but the mildest discolourations, hence the market in recasing and spraying the Beolab 2's...... resellers don't do this for fun......... try meths in varying concentrations with de-ionised water, good luck.
That's what I was fearing [:'(]
Thankyou both for your responses. I'll give both methods a try, or i'll be calling the B&O service centre...
Is it easy to swap the casings over or would I need the service centre to do it?
If the stain is bothering you that much, why not get it professionally sprayed to suit your room? My "bently grey" one I got from Lee is in front of my lab 1's. My B and O grey one is hidden away behind the avant.
