Hi everybody,

I use the Beomaster5/Beosound5, and i make a backup of the Beomaster5 disk every month. Like i have organized the Beomaster disk in several directorties (it's easier to find something) and the back up is made on an external disk, i have no problem to localize my backup.

A friend is telling me: why do you not use the backup of the Beoplayer ?

Immediatly i try this way, i make it. But i remark that the files created are small (my beomaster is almost full ! ), why ?

Are the files created compressed ?

I do the backup on a different way : 

ths BM5 disk is mounted on my Mac OS as a drive via beoconnect.
The mac is backed up via crashplan in the cloud.
Sofware is running in the background so i do not have to do anything for the backup.
This type of cloud backup is block level based and everything is de-dup-ed.
This means backup is fast, only the first backup takes some time ..
