I am starting to restore a pair of redline 140s and the stands have quite a bit of rust and paint missing. Does anyone have any ideas how I could repaint to either a very similar finish to the original, or something that would look suitable for the black redlines?

Any ideas appreciated.

I always go to a store and look for a spraycan of carpaint which is very close to the original. You will not see the slight difference if you repaint the complete stands.

I think satin. When I do a repaint I just use the colour paint and no clear varnish to get the satin look.
