    bv7-40 & dynamic range compression

    hi,

i just noticed that my set top box has an option for dynamic range compression - options : max, average, off.

the settop box is connected to my bv7-40 via hdmi.

is something i should leave on, or will it interfere with bv7 signal processing ?

    thanks !

Without knowing what it exactly does, it is hard to say - but generally having several devices in a chain doing something to the picture is not a good idea. The BS3 is probably better at it anyway!

It is about audio compression, not anything to do with picture

I would definitely have it off then, no matter what it is connected to!
