How to connect a beosound 3000 with a beovision 9

    I everyone,

I recentely bought a beovision 9, used one, from a B&o dealer. When he come to instal the beovision 9 to my house he couldn't connect the beovision with a beosound 3000 that I already had.the beovision come with the beomedia 1. The dealer told me that in this case he should connect the beosound 3000 to the beomedia who was instal inside the beovision but that didn't work. But when connected the beosound directly to the beovision it works but in this case I cannot work with the beomedia. Do anyone know why is the correct way to conect the beosound 3000 to the beovision 9 whithout loose the beomedia?

The BeoMedia 1 connects to the ML socket located at "AV5" on the BeoSystem 3.

Using a Master Link cable, your audio system will be connected to the Master Link socket
on the side connection panel !

If all speakers are connected to the BV9 and none to the BSd 3000 option settings will be:
    "V.OPT" "2" and "A.OPT" "0"

My concern is that your contact does not have a clue what he or she is doing or is trying to overcome a fault that they are aware of.  Vienna has stated the correct settings when using ML, which is the proper way to get the 3000 working with the 9.

What may be worth looking at is the Speaker Type and Speaker Role settings in TV - MENU - OPTIONS - SOUND.  The 3000, when connected by ML and activated, will automatically default to SPEAKER 2 (or SPEAKER 4 etc if you have over-ridden this setting).

Check that all speakers are identified correctly, when you say 'not working' do you just mean no sound?  Hence worth checking the above.
