    Beo 6 Powermanagement

The Beo6 sometimes dosent turn off the screen, and somtimes it comes on by itself, and will not turn off again ( normaly after 30 Sec )

this will for sure drain the battery life..

Does anybody have this problem. It came after the last firmware update.

    Re: Beo 6 Powermanagement

Same here : I don't understand why my Beo6 wakes up by itself at random times...

Yep, same for me. It's seems that sometimes it turns on to tell me something :-)

    Re: Beo 6 Powermanagement

I'm not an expert, but I think the Beo6 enclosure (certainly the metal part) acts as a sensor, like a touch sensitive sensor. I think it works by measuring the static electricity or something like that. It is used I think to wake the Beo6 so it shows the screen, keyboard lights, and is ready to send commands.

If you put the Beo6 on a table and wait for it to dimm, if you then move your hand around it without touching, you have a big change it will wake up.

    At leats mine does.

It's also happening with the BEO5 after the last firmware update.
