    news to a BV11?

Last Autumn, there were lots of rumors about a BV11 to follow the BV8 as entry level TV. Does anyone have some updated informations?

I am still looking for an LCD/Plasma with 46-50inches to follow my BV8-40. While the BV7-55 is simply great it is too bulky and too expensive for my needs.

    BeoVision 8-40 / BeoVision 8-32 / Beovision 6-26 / BeoSound 3200 / BeoSound 1 / BeoLab 3 /  Beolab 6000 / Beolab 2000 / Beoport / Beomedia 1 / 3* Beo4 /BeoCom 5 with VOIP

    Re: news to a BV11?

Agree Hiribert, after much talk last year, it all seems to have gone very quiet. There must be potential customers out there (like me!) who are about to upgrade their TV and would like to know if it's worth waiting to see something from B&O. Surely it's in B&O's interests to maintain some kind of information flow to enable customers to plan ahead. Secrecy can sometime be counter productive. Apple maintain secrecy, but there are sufficient authoritive rumours around to help customers plan their future Apple purchases (like the iPad 3 due around March).

Not really relevant to this thread I know, but some years back in the early mobile phone days, I heard a rumour that B&O were about to launch their first set. As I was about to change my Nokia, I went in to my local dealership to ask for confirmation of the upcoming B&O phone. I was told they knew nothing about it. Thinking therefore that the rumour was untrue I bought another phone. ONE week later I was passing the B&O shop and there it was in the window! A lost sale.

The entry level TV will be the BeoVision V35, introduction not within 2 months. I asked around no fixed date known by the dealers

Price level: 2200 Euro for standard screen size and 3100 Euro for the bigger screen size (40inch?)

    Regards, Robert

My dealer told me it was originally scheduled for March 2012, but we won't see it in the shops before August 2012...

    Re: news to a BV11?

There are still a few Beovision 6-26(HDMI) versions still knocking around at dealers, for just under £2,000.

Wonder if it its worth just waiting???Hmm

A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

don't get me wrong, I love the BV6 (had a lovely week playing with Judith's in the LuxPod), but it is too small, too expensive for my upgrade needs - I would rather get a second hand BV8-32 for myself, but Heribert wanted something bigger than his current BV8-40

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Re: news to a BV11?

In fact I am looking for something between 46 and 50 inches (BV10-46 is too high because of the speaker).

I do have a BV6-26 in a linkroom and I do like it a lot. Especially because it is perfect for Audio as well. The size is ok, in a small room, but nothing for a main room.

I also do have a BV8-32 in my bedroom which is also perfect but lacks the inbuilt DVB-S receiver. so it does not fit every need (would not work in the room I use the BV6-26). So both are good sets, but not directly interchangable.

    BeoVision 8-40 / BeoVision 8-32 / Beovision 6-26 / BeoSound 3200 / BeoSound 1 / BeoLab 3 /  Beolab 6000 / Beolab 2000 / Beoport / Beomedia 1 / 3* Beo4 /BeoCom 5 with VOIP

3,100 euros, so converted into pounds makes it 2,579.47 GBP. If it will be that price on launch then it looks like i have alot more saving to do.

I love my bv 6 bought it new. I don't like big screens in linkrooms. I use it in the bedroom.

I think killing the bv8-26 was a mistake from B&O. They are bairly found second hand, and would like one for my office. I can only buy new because i run a business and a new bv6 is to expensive as screen. (besides who wants a 32 inch screen on a Computer?)

Its great for a 720 because it is not full hd you hardly notice it.

Puc however is slower with settopbox

    I have a 2010 model bv 6-26 and a bv7-40 mkv

Anyone know why the response is slower on a bv 6?

Thnx for the fast respond. 720 will do the job indeed, especially on a smaller screen. I love the design of the 6 but I always thought it had a stoneage panel from 2002 with analog inputs and a bad contrast ratio. I will ask my dealer about the hdmi one and hope he will sell it for a bargain.

I saw both 6-26 versions together with the mk v being the latest, and the difference was quite noticeable.

Going back to the topic, BV11, if B&O are as superstitious as airlines, they won't release any "13" products, so there should be a BV11 instead of a BV 13..Big Smile

    Reunion Island is greeting you!

Could be the software. Recently updated software on my BV8-40 improved response time from all commands including the PUC.

Is the 50inches BV10 second hand an option for you? See the items from Lee on Lifestyle site:

The entry level BeoVision V35 as I have been told will be a 32 and 40inches version.

Yes, heard the same. The first one is supposed to have a price tag of € 2.300, the latter one € 3.000. Or at least so I'm told.
