Bang & Olufsen have started a Beosound 8 Design Competition on Facebook where you can design the frets and maybe win a Beosound 8.

I designed this:

Made to honour the people, Peter Bang & Svend Olufsen, who founded our beoloved brand in 1925.  

Vote on my design here if you like it. And just so you don't get confused: Another guy posted the same design a little later than me, and I have contacted Bang & Olufsen about this issue, because IMO should the first one to enter the competition with a design, be the only who is allowed to enter with that design, but I sadly don't think they are going to do anything about it. The other guy has now got many more votes, as the latest design is showed first in line, so I would really appreciate if you would like to help me get in front of him and (IMO) obtain justice. And why don't you post your own design while you are there? If you drop a link here in the thread I will be more than happy to put a vote on your design too

not sure our votes will get you up to his count :-(

but I did think yours was one of the best ... the only other one I liked was the ying/yang theme

All I'll say is this, I wouldn't want Steve Jobs' and Jonny Ive's face on my MacBook :)

There aren't many designs I like. I did vote on a couple of simple images. Different colours would be good or just a simple pattern. I definitely do not want too blokes glaring out from my BS8, whoever they are, however much I admire their ingenuity. But, I guess, some do!

There are a lot better (and more simple) designs in the latest compared to most popular lists. I guess people don't have the time to browse them, load the most popular list and liking these.

I'm not a facebooker (nor a Twit or whatever they're called) so I can't look but I wonder what it would look like with images based on vinyl records - maybe an image of a full 7" single or a limited edition set of the centre labels of old records companies HMV, Victor, Columbia etc.

Maybe even 7" picture discs, or the centre labels from classic records such as DSOTM.

It would also tie it in slightly to the BS9000 where it has it's CD's on display.

Who knows but then again who really cares!

Love the bicycle - I actually thought of wire wheels when I first read the thread but combining the front and rear forks is sheer genius!
