Whatever the quality of the router, 5m is within every routers capability... Strange, can you lend another router and try?

Try a different wi-fi channel? I get dropouts with all sorts of equipment, including an Airport Express. It happens. I played around with various channels (after leaving the router on "automatic") and since manually selecting channel 4, never had a single dropout (as no-one ever seems to use channel 4, so there are no conflicting channels).

Does anybody know when BeoLit will be available on BeoPlay's webstore? The press release said february, but half of the month is already gone and there's nothing new on the official website..Danish speed again?
Reunion Island is greeting you!

Re: BeoLit 12 is in the shops! Initial impressions?
rmclachlan:
I really like the Beolit 12, pretty fresh, although I can see the retro aspect of the design also. By contrast the Philps Fidelio is pretty derivative of the type of design B&O have been producing over the last two decades. Remove the Philips logo and replace with B&O logo. Add a few perforations on the aluminium finish and bingo - instant B&O product.
Huh? That Philips product is more the size of the BS8, The beolit 12 is a small portable music player, the size of a lunch box. I haven't seen anything better on the market which is this size.

Dave: lunch box.
Lunch box, small picnic hamper, fishing tackle box, woman's vanity case......
Looks pretty dull, cheapo and distinctly non bang & olufsen to me...

Re: BeoLit 12 is in the shops! Initial impressions?
Saw it in real life just today... sort of disappointed.
I have to agree - no a B&O look and feel , not heavy enough, no alu. This was the dark grey one - from the pictures I prefered the light grey one.
No idea about the sound - the shop owner wanted to show it but "network problems / have to replace the router / linksys/cisco..." How will they ever sell these if you cannot listen to them?
BUT: if sound is better than what competitors can do I can see all the apple kids carrying these out of the stores (sorry - using apple hw myself ;-))
Let's not forget - it B&O Play!
Best regards Ralf
PS: Just ordered some outdoor non B&O speakers that I will atttach to a sonos amp (in the basement - I can run small speaker cables to the ouside) and use the ipad / napster combination to run that one. Found out that for Airplay you even need napster mobile which I don't have / don't want - so I need another sonos ;-)

we took our iPhones along with our favourite mysic to test so that was OK
but when we asked for an internet radio demonstration we ran into network issues as well
so we heard the sound - and learned that its placement relative to your ears was important
but also realised networking could be a challenge
but the main reason for no immediate sale to us was a lack of colour availability
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
