    Beogram 3000 motor issue

    Hi,

I have bought a lovely Beocenter 3500 which all works great except for the motor of the "Beogram 3000".

I have opened up the Beocenter and have powered the turntable by itself. The voltage across both coils is 240V total as expected and half that when measuring each coil - that is with the deck in on position and button pressed. The motor does not turn at all although it is quite easy to turn by hand. Further with the coils energised there is absolutely no sense that the motor is trying to turn and trying to help it with fingers makes no different nor does the drive shaft feel energised. The DC impedance of each coil is about 330Ohms which seems OK.

The motor looks exactly like this:

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    CJ
