    Thanks !

    Download & update worked fine.

Had a mild panic attack when there was a slight glitch when I first invoked Airplay to the ATV2 but after that it was fine - not that I had noticed any iOS5 bugs anyway !

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

PS all my stations are still in the list; switching between them without problems ... just the 5 second buffering period.

Can also confirm the clock now works for me which it didn't do on the previous version (on iOS 5 devices)

I'm glad they worked the clock problem, but that really seemed to take a long time to address.

    BeoSystem 5000 (BM 5000, BG 5005, BC 5000, CD50), BeoCenter 3500, BeoCenter 2500, BeoLab 2500, BeoVox S-45, S-45.2, RL-140, CX-100, CX-50, C-75, 3 MCL82 link rooms, A8, 4001 relay and ambio

These are all of the resolved issues

1.Must press PLAY twice after PAUSE

2.BeoPlayer app shuts down when selecting music from the iPhone

3.Clock time does not synchronise with system time while staying on same "Clock" screen

4.Alarm cannot be stopped on iPhone 4S

None of the BBC radio stations are working :-(

Radio 2 is all I use(d) it for.

I checked on my iPad and looked under "United Kingdom" in Browse mode and found under "B" a bunch of them ranging from BBCArabic to "BBC World Service News" that included "BBC Radio 2"

I then did some testing (by the way use Search to find "BBC" rather than the long winded way I used first) and found that:

    1. the BBC stations I tested went "buffering", "retry", buffering", retry" until I got bored and did not play
    2. the exception was BBC World Service
    3. interesting, I had similar problems with a number of other UK stations, and
    4. (I know this does not make sense with internet protocols as opposed to shortwave radio) the were all faint (low volume)
    5. whereas other stations around the globe were good volume with good "signal" (connectivity) including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, and Portland, Oregan

So I hope you have better luck being "closer" to the source

That is exactly what I meant by not "working"

I tried BBC 2 via Safari on my iPhone and it worked immediately. My BBC widget on my iMac also still works so the problem must be with the App itself. I have also reloaded it, just in case. Lets hope the station list can be updated wihout B&O having to submit to to Apple for review.

The streaming format of the BBC stations is not supported with the beoplayer.

B&O should narrow down their list of stations in their app.

    Or better still:

    1. broaden their support, and
    2. add informative messages for when they recieve a stream they do not support

I just use TuneIn radio (even bought the app) on my iPad connected to my BS8. Never really start the BeoPlayer app. It's yet another software product from B&O which is substandard, even though they outsourced development!

Until the latest update it worked, and the Beeb has not changed the streaming format.

The App itself does not need to support the format, iOS5 does.

I think the links the App uses must be wrong somehow.

Thanks for the idea Tim !

I checked my other radio app but it did not have the BBC, so I downloaded a new app, called "tunein radio", and checked its access to BBC2 and voila !!

    it worked :-)

Yep, see my post above. LOL. I even bought the Pro version as it's an app that works, without fault. Perhaps B&O should outsource development to reliable app developers such as these guys?

BeoPlayer is just about the only app I have deleted from my iGear. Sad

I can, however, give "two thumbs up" to the TuneIn Radio app mentioned above.

Just this past Sunday, wifey and I were desperate to get a live feed of an NFL game not being televised in our area. A little googling and I came up with this particular app as a possibility.

Wifey said: "Wait a minute, I have that app!"

In less than 30 seconds and a few clicks, we had our game!

BTW guys, one tip from me is to get that Airfoil speakers app. It's superb. You can hijack audio from any source on your computer, then use your iPhone/iPad as a remote speaker (or, if it's docked, the dock speaker). I use this system to push Flash-based password controlled radio (for my football team) to my BS8, via the iPad, using Airfoil speaker app.

However, you could also do the same for your favourite radio station. Use your laptop to control the feed and push the sound to your iPhone/iPad via Airfoil speakers.

Yes, I have been expermienting with it on and off; as well as AirFlick.

Ideally it should be built into the Apple infrastructure
