Got to to be the consumer-friendly B&O Play product(s), surely? Sits well with CES.

The former, yes. I guess they are expecting a lot of people to show up at their launch event(s).

I'm starting to get excited about some of the products planed for 2012. There's not been a great deal of B&O innovation through 2011. Few new products. 2012 looks like it's going to change this.
That iPad speaker my dealer was talking about the other day. Not sure what it is. He called it a "controller". Could be interesting.

Maybe the music selector mentioned by Roger?

Beofan2: BeoLit 12, BeoLab 12 and BeoVision 12
hmmm is there a theme here ?
I hope we do not have to wait until 1Q2013 before we see the Beosystem 13, Seosound 13, etc.
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

All of the current tv range will be close relatives to "who cares, the sound will be terrible" products out there. I was merely highlighting the release of technology, that you will soon see morphed into a B&O product in the near future.

Don´t expect OLED to be near future in a BeoVision. I do care about OLED but size isn´t all. I don´t agree about sound quality in the current range. It´s probably better compared to any other flat tv on the market.
Any news about the "music selector" mentioned by Roger?

Hardly! Although a couple of people on here said that the BV10 lacked depth compared to their (really deep!) Avant, I'm pleasantly surprised with the audio quality of my BV10-46. Ok, it's no 7.2, but it has depth that is lacking on, say, a brand new Samsung.
The BV10 is a very good compromise for me and is no way near "terrible". Looking at the BV12 design with the centre speaker below and BL12s, I bet that's reasonably close (with the BL12s) to the BL7.2 performance.
B&O can't afford to put out a TV without semi-reasonable audio as their reputation is based around excellent audio. It's what customers expect.
So, where's this current TV range which will have sound "close to....terrible"?
Odd statement!

Chris:
Moxxey i wasn't remarking on the sound quality of B&O tv's, which are the best on the planet. I was pointing out that my previous post was only highlighting some of this years CES panel technology devlopements. ie What we see being promoted by Samsung etc today we can see re-engineered and retailed by B&O shortly.
Sure, but you were implying that that's also the way B&O will go. I doubt it as they have to balance audio with video and the BV10 is about as thin as you can get without compromising audio too greatly or requiring additional speakers, such as the BL12s.
Mind you, I'm not overly concerned about super-thin TVs. The BV10 is neither super-thin nor light (I can't lift my 46"), but the design really does look like it's a picture using the easel stand. Looks like an object of art.
Anyway, this week is going to be an interesting week as we're going to see - finally - a range of new products from B&O. Likely to be some 'Play' products, the BV12, BL12 and maybe this iPad controller?

koning:
does the new beovision 13-40 gets the same price just like the beovision 8-40?
Will it really be called the Beovison 13? That suggests to me that this would be viewed as the "top of the range" TV. I heard a rumour it's more likely to be a Beovision 3 than 13. Who knows. I think the "13" moniker is just that.
Does anyone have any more info about this TV? It appears it's ducked under the radar a bit, lately.

Correct, I am implying that B&O will adopt OLED which is very thin and that they will keep it that way. The new 65 plasma is itself very thin I am told and the only bulbous thing about it is the speaker underneath. Ie very thin panel, protruding speaker at its bottom.

We had a BeoVision 3 in the past, remember? My rumour says something different from the usual numbers.

12-65 isn't a protruding speaker, or a very thin tv although it's as thin as any tv of this type should be IMHO, Moxxey is right, a tv that is very very thin doesn't really suit the B&O range of super picture & super sound. I for one would not be interested in a wafer thin tv - that's just basically a panel with a plug on the end. Where's the processor, psu, sound card, any quality components? If you want a tv to be so thin you can't see it, you could always recess it into the wall somehow. I like the fact there is some depth to my BV10, especially since it was a conscious decision to make it that way. Makes it more of a three dimensional feature.
