    tracking force indicator needed...

Big SmileI'm looking for the clear plastic tracking force indicator for my BG 3000.  I got the beogram on E-bay.  I'm not sure how it went missing...I can kinda see under the tonearm a sliding weight.  I have no idea how I would attach it, because I've never seen one in place.

Anyways...does anyone have one I could purchase, AND, how do you put in on?

'Tis held in place by a small screw from underneath. Tricky job as you have to remove the tone arm. Be careful, the wires are very FRAGILE!!!

The service manual is available on site to silver and gold members, it may be worth upgrading your membership at this time.

Finding one could be trickier though. You need a truly bust tangential deck! I would ask around first. You will need the arm assembly.

I wonder if you actually need one though. If you can get the weight to the correct spot and fix it, you should not really need to move it again.  A small bit of wax would stop it moving but would allow repair if you ever found what you needed. You will need to check the tracking weight using a balance.

SmileThanks guys!  Great idea with the wax!  Where does one get a balance weight to measure tracking force?

The B&O one is a simple lever and fulcrum. Don't spend much - the B&O one should be about £1 ! Therefore probably costs £10!

So today a friend of mine allowed me to use her small (size of calculator) scale to adjust the tracking force.  It was too thick to fit under the toneare and stylus.  So...where can I find a small one?  Where can I get the very affordable B&O one?  Once I get one, how does one go about doing it with the platter spinning?

Where do you live?  And the answer to the platter is to take the belt off.
