Looking at Xfinity being installed at the house with a BS3 based BV4. Haven't used a STB since BS1 so I'm a little nervous about good integration. It looks like home theater people are excited about this new cable box that may be newly available by Comcast in my area. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if it's an advantage in a BS3 setup over the standard box or not. Any of you using Xfinity or have suggestions?

We had one of these units from Charter Cable, and we did not have a really good experience. The unit could pick up the ping to activate the software, but it could not pick up the identifier as to the premium services. We tried with two units before moving back to the orginal DVR.

That being said, we didn't seem to have any issue with the Avant and IVR signals.
