    beocenter 9500 and volume increasing itself !!!

    Good morning,


    hope everyone has spent a nice christmas time and is ready for this new year eve...

    this morning, put on a cd and waou Surprise the volume lights increase until the max... when I get them way down low, it increase again !!

    got the same with the sound setting, bass, treble... everything increase to the max !! is there anybody who got the same problem ? and any idea to begin with to solve this ???

    Hi there,

    It's probably the remote - the volume button is stuck. You can see if the remote's transmitting by using a digital/phone camera and looking at the remote's ir senders. If they glow then it confirms the problem.

    To solve, you need to strip the remote down and clean the carbon bits that have flaked off the membrane and also the pcb contacts.

    If you have a Beocom telephone with a AV module it can also be stuck and make this happen. I have tried this once.

    but the remote was in its holder in the upright position ........Cool

    Yes, but it might explain the problem that the other chap is having with his Ouverture whose doors won't close..
