    Does anyone recognize this part?

Bought a pair of B&O trumpetstands with speakers and due to transportation I disassembled the stands.

However, I have some parts left from which I'm sure that they belong to these trumpetstands. Am I correct and where to put them. Looks like sort of spacers but now I'm not sure if they are part of the standsHmm

From memory they are used to adjust the tilt of the speakers. I think they screwed into the stand and were adjusted like a screw so the bottom or bass section were tilted up.

Testing my memory here as I haven't owned the stands since 1995.

Re: Does anyone recognize this part?

Just had another think about it....

I had a pair of S120's and seem to remember that there was a screw hole behind an adhesive black dot that this might have screwed into and then adjusted the tilt.

That said it might just be the holes for the screws for the stands I'm thinking about.

Thanks Peter for your fast response.

I can't find any threaded holes on the stand that will fit this bolt but tomorrow I will make pictures of the whole stand to make things more clear!

Hmmmm, you could be right Peter. The stand has a big slotted hole and probably the speakercabinet has a threaded hole. I'm restoring the stands at the moment so I will post pictures later (tomorrow)!

Okay, almost finished my restoration of the trumpet stands which were badly damaged. Now they look ok and still wondering where the bolt is meant for. I put them on the black part of the stand. But where do it needs to be mounted and what type of speaker belong to this stand? I have a S75 from where the holes (hidden behind a plastic round cover) has the same dimensions to fit on, but they both (stand and speaker) have threaded holesHmm

Edit: Now I remember I bought them with S60 speakers but gave them away...

Re: Does anyone recognize this part?

Do the two pieces of the adjusting nut come apart?  i.e. does the threaded shaft unfasten from the knurled round knob?  I think it goes in the slotted section of the upright black bar to enable a change in height and tilt to the speaker.  That is also possibly why there is an angled piece at the bottom of the stand so the lower down the stand the speaker goes, the more tilt upwards of the speaker there is.  If the long threaded section was designed to screw into the back of the appropriate speaker, this would make sense!

    Dave.

The bad thing is that I took the S60's of myself but cannot recall where I took the bolt offEmbarrassed. It must have been mounted on the S60's. That really makes sense. Thanks Dave!

The bolts have to be mounted in the speakers through the "slotgat" in the stand (Leslie knows what a slotgat is, can't find the English word for it right now). So mount the speakers on the stands, put the bolt through the hole and mount it in the screwhole in the speaker. They are for tilting the speakers on the stand.

That's it!Yes - thumbs up Thanks "Blackrix". Now I'm sure I took the bolt off the speakercabinet. So the S60 must have had a threaded hole on the back,  that's for sure!

Re: Does anyone recognize this part?

    Leslie,

I have the white M70s you sold me mounted on B&O trumpets and before the M70s the stands had S60s.  In both cases the bolt is used after the speaker is mounted to either fix it or to tilt the speaker.

Re: Does anyone recognize this part?

Blackrix, I confirm that it was not Leslie but somebody called Carel that I brought my white M70s from.  Maybe I discussed another Marktplaats sale with Leslie (AV9000????)

Nice trumpet stands, Leslie.  My two pairs of M70s are jealous.

    Current primary listening:  SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70
