    beogram 8002 or 8000 platter

    hard to source -

    can somebody help me to find a new platter for my beloved beogram 8002 ?

    What has happened to it? I may have a platter in spare.

    Great !

    I used a ultrasonic cleaner to clean the very dirty platter (8002 bought on ebay).
    The result was fatal. All the black lines (and parts of the white one too) went off and unremovable white
    spots appeared. the result is that the 8002 cannot find anymore the beginning of the vinyl-record.
    The pick-up arm always lowers, irrespective if there is a vinyl-record on the platter or not.

    Asking on the forum told me, that the sensing arm needs the black lines.....

    would be very happy to get a replacement for it.

    I heard that some cleaner could destroy the platter finish, but not the ribs! I normally clean in a dishwasher/general cleaning solution.

    The platter is from a Beogram 8002 and in fine condition.
