DorsetArms: Well, if you have a Dolby Digital setup, try The Transporter. It is just another action movie, but the sound-engineers created the best surround track I have ever heared. Just wind up to 43 minutes in the movie, there is an attack on the house of the movies star. It is mindblowing. Bullets and rockets coming from behind. Mind you, my setup is Avant RF 28 wirth 4 Beolab Penta. No subwoofer and stil every piece of china in my house is shivering. I actually use this part of the movie as a testtrack to convince friends that there is more than just a pretty face in the B&O setup.
O, and the movie starts with the best car chase I have ever seen!
That car chase is indeed amazing. I saw Ronin again last thursday for the third time or so and those car chases are spectacular too!

i'm a big fan of goodfellas , i watched it 3 times last week ( the blu ray has 2 additional voice overs that are really interesting - one is by the director and crew but the other is henry hill himself and he tells you all the nitty gritty details of life on the streets in the 50's -70's ) highly recommended

Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies too. But tonight I watched my absolute favorite movie once again: Raging Bull by Martin Scorsese (featuring Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci) For all those of you who don't know that movie: get it, it is fantastic!

I've seen this movie recently. It is a little complicated, but very interesting. Very good acting by Matt Damon!

Absolutely excellent film, just finished watching it - fully recommended if you're a fan of Gangster films. Think Snatch with a bit more style and a little more polish...

Re: The last film you watched and said "I really enjoyed that"
I have seen "The Shawshank Redemption" for the first time last night. Really a fantastic movie. I don't know why it took me so long to watch/ buy it, but I would really have missed something if I hadn't seen it. I always thought that "Shawshank Redemption" was kind of a horror-movie, because of the title, and that's why I never paid attention to it. Stupid me!!!

Re: The last film you watched and said "I really enjoyed that"
I saw 300 yesterday on DVD and while watching it there was a moment where I just thought; damn, this tv ( I have a BeoVision 3-32 ) was worth every €. Breathtaking movie and just pure eye candy when watched on a good tv. I love the scenes, the colours, everything... I was watching it with a friend who has a HD Samsung LCD and a high end HDMI DVD player at home and he was completely blown away by the picture quality of the BV3. He paused the movie several times and just said; wow, this tv is brilliant! : )

Sienna Miller is stunning in Layer Cake. Tom, I saw the Shawshank Redemption for the second time the other week. One of my favourite movies. The roles are played superbly and I really sunk into the story. In contrast to Shawshank Redemption, I watched Rush Hour 3 on Blu Ray last night. Perhaps not as great as Rush Hour 1 and 2, but still a very funny and enjoyable movie.

I second layer cake which I saw last weekend. I also saw Woody Allen's Vicky Christina Barcelona which I thought was hilarious. JK

Haven't seen that one yet. But saw "Batman Begins" on DVD recently. Couldn't resist to buy the Blu-Ray version to watch on the big 92" screen. Also saw "Departed", "Blood Diamond", "Casino Royale", "Bourne Identity/Ultimatum/Supremacy". All the films gives you the opportunity to forget everything around you for at least two hours..

Been to the cinema yesterday. (I think for the first time in 3 years). I've been to "W.". (The story of George W. Bush) Very interesting movie. Doesn't leave a good impression, that Mr. Bush.

Re: The last film you watched and said "I really enjoyed that"
I was invited to the London premier of Quantum of Solace in Leicester Square last Wednesday. I have always been quite a fan of the Bond movies and quite enjoyed the new release. Pleased to see a proper car scene again which seriously lacked in the previous movie. As for Daniel Craig, I still don't think he's the 'correct' Bond, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The movie continues on from Casino Royale as Bond wants revenge for the death of Vesper. It takes a while to get going, but I see this is a new style for the Daniel Craig era of Bond films.

I have watched Scorsese's "Shine a Light" tonight. Good movie, but above all excellent sound, even if you are not that much of a Stones fan.
