    BS9000 PIN code from Beo6

    Hi folks,

    Could you help me please?

I've just noticed I can't enter the pin code directly from my beo6 to the BS9000.

It works with the beo4, but using the numeric keyboard from the beo6 doesn't work...

    Do I miss something?

Re: BS9000 PIN code from Beo6

If it works with Beo4 it should also work with Beo6.

Maybe your BS9000 is set to A.OPT 0? If it is set to OPT 1 select an audio mode - CD, RADIO - before you press the numbers....

I don`t really know, it`s just an idea....

You can also enter the pin code on the BS9000 keyboard.

    Hope this helps......

It could also be poor programming on the Beo6, because although there are numbers/buttons on the screen, unless they are programmed correctly they may not function depending on what they were oroginally programmed for.

The programming software is quite complex and when you think you have programmed it for BS9000, it is quite easy to miss ticking a box or including a setting, so it seems to work every thing on the BS9000 until you try something you haven't done before. That's where you have to take it back to the dealer, or if you can do it on your own PC, have another try.

    Hi Stefan,

    Thanks for your reply.

As you mention it, as my BS9000 is masterlinked to the BV10, it's A.OPT 0 and V.OPT 2 for the BV10.

Did I miss something and should I put the BS9000 in option 1?

The PIN code entered from the BS9000 keyboard works.

    Hi Stoobie,

    Thanks for your reply.

I think as you advise me, I should bring it back to my dealer so that he checks everything's correctly set.

I will do it on thursday and let you know.

Have you tried using the UP and DOWN keys on the Beo6 to select the pin code numbers instead of using the numeric keys ?

Also, had you selected source Radio or CD on the Beo6 prior to entering the pin code ?

    Regards Keith....

    Hi Keith,

    It seems to work now...

I don't understand why it didn't work the first time, as I did the same things (cd/radio selected and numeric keys used).

    Thanks for your reply.

    Cheers,

PS: Before posting a new topic, could you please tell me if it's possible for my dealer to add the A/V/L OPTIONS in the Beo6?

Option setting is already in Beo6. Just go to menu, press option setting and choose the zone. Your Beo6 will transmit the correct options depending on the configuration. See page 12 in BV10 user manual....

    Hi Stefan,

    Thanks for your help.

I didn't find anything about this in page 12 of the BV10 manual.

I've just tried this from the beo6:

Stdby + center button --> Option Pgm --> selecting (with red bars up and down) my TV + pressing center button.....It seems to work as with A/V Options from the beo4.

    Am I correct?

Re: BS9000 PIN code from Beo6

It works a bit different I think. You just press the zone and the Beo6 Will transmit all V.OPT, A.OPT and L.OPT for that zone.

The correct settings depend ón your configuration.

    It's ón page 14 in BV10/40 manual.
