Does anyone know the function of the IRtrans Translator? When would it be used? It is B+O 455mhz compatible.

The IRtrans is compatible with the B&O 455 Khz (not Mega Hz) carrier frequency and several members use this product.

    Re: IRtrans Translator

The IRtrans can receive and transmit Beo codes. I tested this product years ago, but I switched to the Lintronic box, because it`s more flexible.

Can be contoled and control IR (incl. Beo commands), switches, X10, RS232...It can even be triggered by datalink from Beo Scart sockets to control 3rd-party devices like stb, BD players, mediaplayers. It can also contol Beo commands in a MCL linksystem via an MCL2A (AV)

You can program macros and use the new LIGHT and CONTROL functions of the nwéw Beo4 navi.

My son is controling all his stuff - Samsung TV, Digiality stb, xbox, BM3300, BG3300 with Beo4 via a Lintronic box using macros.

My cinema setup is controled by a Lintronic box via the cinema socket on my BV7-40. My blinds are controled by a relay box 108 also made by Lintronic.

And they have an online database for IR codes.
