    BM5500 and BEO4 input selct

    Hello,

There is 2 TAPE inputs on the BM5500.

    - Is the TAPE input controlled with the BEO4 ATAPE?

    - How to activate TAPE2/AUX ? With AAUX or ATAPE2?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Indeed, the Beo4 will activate the A.TAPE source via A.MEM or A.TAPE, depending on the version you have.

To turn on A.TAPE2, select either A.TAPE2 or NMUSIC on your Beo4 (they are the same codes).

And A.AUX on BM5500 can be activated by pressing TV or any other video source....or A.AUX if you want to be pickySmile

    Thanks Chris,

The input TAPE2 is activated by ATAPE2 or AAUX or a any video source; am I right?

No, you should have an input called TP2 and another one called A/V.AUX . The latter usually gets activated by any video source selected on the remote control.

Confusion here - we are talking about Beomaster 5500, which doesn't have a separate AUX input. It is in the same socket with TP2.

Anyway, it can be selected with A.TAPE2 on Beo4, which is exactly the same command as SHIFT-A.TAPE on Beolink 1000.

A.AUX sends a different code, but probably works too (my BM5500 is far away so I can't check).

Video source commands should work as well, but the Beomaster needs to be programmed to option 2, or it does absolutely nothing when receiving them.

You have right Tournedos, there is only one socket called TAPE2/AUX nothing for A/V.

Thanks to all for the confirmation that ATAPE2 is working!
