I have a real dumb question. Can i connect my beosound to an amp using the powerlink cable and then use some technic speakers that i have connected to the amp. I can't find cheap active B & O speakers. Please help

    The answer is probably.

There is a sister site called BeoTech ... take a look at the wiring diagrams there and your can probably devise a solution.

Alternatively Steve at SOUNds HEAVENLY (see advert at bottom of the Beoworld pages0 may be able to work up something for you.

We recommend Steve because he is a good guy and sponsors BeoWorld :-)

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Beolab 2500 wil cost you about 300 euro's. An other alternative is Philips motion feedback speakers these works very well on the PL of Beo products

There is a German company called DeToma. They make amplifiers with a Powerlink input socket and standard speaker terminals. Then you can use any passive loudspeaker you like.

Ofcourse you can also try and find a secondhand B&O MCL 2P amplifier.
