    beosound 2500

    hi,

     

     just wondering if i can connect beosystem 2500 to my old beosystem 3300 with passive speakers , instead of buying external amp or a pair of active speakers

    Hi

    Yes, you can connect both systems using the AUX port on the Beosystem 2500 and the Tape Input on the Bemaster 3300 (special cable). The problem is, that both systems understand the same Beo4 Codes. So you would have to use the remote for the Beosystem 3300 and use the "local" switches of the BS2500 (by setting option 0 to make the BS2500 not listening to the remote). So it is possible but i don't recommend it to you. Perhaps it is better to reuse the passive speakers of your system 3300 and buy an amplifier (from B&O or elsewhere). Both systems you have are really nice products and i can understand, that you would like to keep both...
