    Cheap Projectors

Some of you may remember a post I put up about how I wanted a projector a few months ago. I was tempted to use a lens setup to project a television onto a wall. Anyway, I thought I would say that despite the low cost of said activity and the ~40% odds I was given by various people of going ahead, I've chosen not to proceed down that route. "Why not?" some may ask. Well, basically, I've found a wide variety of cheap projectors on Gumtree an eBay recently. From what I can gather, there's a lot of second hand ones kicking around, presumably generated by bars and businesses where the cost of replacing a midlife projector outweighs the risk of a bulb giving out during a major presentation or sporting event. Anyway, if people fancy discussing or at least learnign this, I htought I'd post to let y'all be in the know

Any thoughts on the models to go for?

I would not jump on used since you have no way of assesing the lamp. Quick on and offs for example may damage it. Also, there is a significant difference between business projectors and those for home cinemas.

For DVD watching I would recommend he Infocus IN72. You can pick it up in the US for 400 to 500$, not shure how much it goes for in Europe.

Remember that a lot of the second hand projectors are going to need new bulbs, which in some situations can be as much as a whole new projector!
