Audio with BL9: Better on BS9000 or BV10-40?

    Hi guys,

I will maybe replace my BL8000 MK2 with a pair of BL9 (i'm trying them at home since yesterday) but I would like to know if the audio quality will be better when connected to the BS9000 or connected to the BV10-40?

I've connected the BL9 to BS9000 yesterday and today did it to the BV10-40 and it seems to me that the BV10 delivers a better sound, but I'm not sure.

But connected to BV10 made me notice, in difference with them connected to the BS9000, that when I increase the volume (listening music from the Apple TV 2) I can hear some noises that sound like "scritch-scratch"....

What I noticed too, is that the sound has more bass (speaker 3) when watching the TV compared to speaker 1 mode.

What do you guys advise me?

    Let me know please.

    Cheers,

    E d o u a r d  G

Re: Audio with BL9: Better on BS9000 or BV10-40?

    Hi Edouard,

I think that the extra bass and different sound from the BV10-40 could be due to the audio processing when listening to Dolby-encoded surround sound movies.  Each audio format seems to have slightly different effects and bass levels, which can make setting up a subwoofer difficult at times!

The sound should be "purer" through the 9000, although this may not always sound as involving or dramatic as from the BV10-40, as the processing in the TV can add emphasis to the sound.  One solution is to ask the question "which sound do I prefer?"

    Kind regards,

    Steve.

It should be more bass in Speaker 3, becuase then you have frontspeakers on as well as the TVs speaker.

In Speaker 1 you only have the TV speaker.
