    Light Control

    Hi - couple of questions:

I used to have an LC2 and read somewhere that there is a replacement manufactured by a Danish Company - could someone let me know what the replacement is and roughly how much in £. I'd like to order 3 to control different lights in my living room and wondered if you can still have different light scenes?

I have a lintronic box that's not doing anything so wonder if that could be used in some way? - easiest is probably the LC2 replacement

Apologies if this has been covered before but anxious to find out and get an order placed!. I know Lutron do something but assume that is mega bucks.

You may be referring to Innovus RAone SmartDimmers - the company web site has disappeared, so I'm not sure if they are around at all any more.

I bought a bunch of these a couple of years ago when they were on sale. Basically they work fine, but there are a couple of drawbacks:

    • Most of them make a high pitch noise, some units more than others, which is annoying in a very quiet room. Not for the bedside table.
    • The finish is nothing like B&O, it's a basic black plastic puck.
    • They won't respond to single LAMP up/down commands from a Beolink 7000, probably a programmer's lapse as other remotes work fine.

Recently, I've seen these on German eBay for totally absurd prices. I'm sure there have been a number of Danish B&O compatible dimmer manufacturers, so it might also be something completely else you're thinking about.

I have a lot of LC2s and one of these Bosscom Aludim:

It`s working well, just in the same way LC2 does.

IR reception is good, but not as good as LC2 (Maybe this was improved with Bossdim II - as indicated...?)

Hi, thanks for the replies - the Boscomm solution looks great - do you know where I can buy them in the UK - I could only see a retailers link on the website and tried searching the web - Would Lifestyle AV sell these - couldn't see them on the website

Sorry no. Maybe you can order it here:

    http://linksupply.dk/product.asp?product=868

And Beostores in DK sell the Bosscom Aludim.
