    LX Beovision materials ?

    Hi,

What materials were the LX Beovision offered in ? I know wood was one of them, but what about the white cabinets ? - were they plastic or wood ?

My white LX6000 is plastic - with an aluminum surrounding strip, which seems to be real metal.

My parents used to have a LX 2500 white line and an LX 2800 in white. The LX 2800 had also a plastic cabinet with aluminium strip. The LX 2500 had a white strip as well, and IIRC the strip on that one was in plastic too.

I have a black shiny plastic LX6000 and used to have a rosewood one.

    Peter :

    It's not shiny plastic - it's spray-painted. B&O used to call it piano-laquer.

All the LX cabinets were made of plastic - some with wood-veneer - others were painted in high-gloss white, grey or black.

I just noticed there were two variations of the white ones. One in complete white, and one with a strip. Were they year specific or available at the same time ?

As far as I know they were available at the same time. The ones completely in white were called white line.
