What is 'equalizer loop-through'? And what are the differences between Beocenter 9300 & 9500?

    Hello Everyone,

I am interested in purchasing a little bit older B&O amplifier & sound system, and was wondering what the differences were between the Beocenter 9300 and 9500 products? What I found so far was that the Beocenter 9300 has a newer and supposedly better CD Drive, but the Beocenter 9500 has equalizer loop-through. However, I have no idea what an equalizer loop-through is, and would appreciate it if someone could explain it to me.

Are there any further differences between Beocenter 9300 and 9500 that I should know about?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Equalizer loop through is an insert point betelen preamp and poweramp. You Can insekt devises like equalizers, reverb units...

BC9500 is the older version with more inputs, 2 way communication - mz first Beosystem bought 22 yeats ago and still in grelt working condition.

Timer function even light timer, grelt system....

I would advise against the 9500 due to no spares being available whereas a 9300 is still repairable and all in all a better unit.

Debatable. I would agree that the 9300 is the sensible buy as it is essentially an Ouverture reboxed into a 9500 case with an amplifier. However the 9500 is the better specified machine. Better tape player, two way control and, again, debatable which has the better CD player. It is however more difficult to get fixed, though by no means impossible.
