    Ipad 2 and Beovision?

    Hi' there

Could someone please tell me how to connect my ipad 2 to my Beovision 7?

I connected a hdmi cable to my Ipad and the other end of the cable to the DVI-I port but was unable to get any pictures on my TV no matter what settings i choose in the beovision settings menu.

I also seems to remember reading somewhere that audio wasn't passed through in this setup, if that is the case, how to do I get both audio and video from my Ipad 2 to the Beovision?

    Hi,

which kind of cable did you use?

You need s.th. like this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC953ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MTcyMTgxODY

Yep, thats the one I used to connect the HDMI cable to my Ipad, but no image on the beovision.
I tried each of the AV settings on the TV Menu setting those to pc and input DVI-I but still just getting a black screen.

    thinking outside the box ...

I bought an Apple TV (only 2.5x the price of the special cable mentioned above)

And I use Airplay to cast my content to my BeoVision

Both sound and video come through wirelessly

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Correct, this is the best and cheapest way to connect your iPad to your TV. Buy an Apple TV, upgrade to iOS 5 and you'll be able to wirelessly stream video and photos from your iPad through the Apple TV to your TV! Who needs a cable?

That was the next step, but since I had the hdmi cable and stuff, I figured I would try to get that working first.

btw, what settings do you use under the connections menu on the tv?

    I have this arrangement:

    1. Using AV2
    2. Assigned DVD to it
    3. Set HDMI to Yes
    4. Set IR to C2
    5. Set type of IR to Apple Remote
    6. Set standby signal to when I change sources (actually seems to have no effect)

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
