    Beovox S45 repair

I'm trying to refoam a set of S45s that I picked up with a 7700 beocenter.

I've got the front off the speaker, but can't get the driver out - there is a plastic ring at the front holding it in place, but I can't see any screws or  method of fixing.

    Any ideas welcome.

Probably needs attacking from the back of the panel. To get to that, look down the holes where the grilles attach. There are screws down those deep dark holes! The front then comes off and the speaker is held in by small plates.

    Thanks Peter

I've been down the deep holes and got the front off.  The scary bit is pulling the driver out, it's quite firmly stuck in so you have to give it a bit of a yank.

Be glad you have the wherewithal to fix your S45's yourself ... I just spent a freaking fortune having mine rebuilt.

Worth it, considering the speakers the same money would buy new, but JEEZE!

That's when you know the B&O bug has taken hold. When you are prepared to spend more getting the kit you have to work at it's best than the repaired and restored kit would sell for! I can see myself following you dowm that particular road with my S45-2's.
