Need a Sky+ compatible satbox which can be used with STB on a BV 9

As the headliner says... I need a satbox for Sky+ card that can be controlled by a BV9 (STB)

It is for one of my UK customers which reasently bought a Beovision 9 from my store...

    Thanks

any one will do (Pace, Thomson Amstrad) as they all use the same remote codes although the Pace V2 box is regarded as the best. Check EBay.

Note that you'll need a valid subscription to get the full PVR functionality.

I have tried to search trough ebay, and I have yet found one listed in the STB-list...

Could you maybe link to one you know are 100% certain will work with stb, and which stb I should pick...

As the BV-9 already has I HDR2 installed a HD is not required in the satbox.

The reason that I want to be very sure to buy the right one is that I will have to ship it to denmark and afterwords ship it back to the UK.

    Thanks

That sounds most odd! A Sky+ box is available , with monthly subscription , for £99 and a £30 fitting charge. I cannot see that shipping it to and from Denmark will do anything but cost more. If the STB-C has the latest software, and if in a BV9 it will, the Sky+ will work.

A plain Sky box is available free and fitting will cost £30. You need the monthly subscription again.

The things is that the customer already has a skybox which does not work with STB...

The reason that I have to ship to DK and back again is that the customers is not very technical so I have to setup the box, so they just has to plug it in...

Could you link to a Sky+ box that will work with stb?

    Thanks

I suspect that the present box will work but that one of two things has happened:

    1. The wrong code for the STB-C is being used.

    2. The IR blaster is stuck in the wrong place! I suspect this is the most likely reason as it is often not that obvious! Which box does he have and I imagine one of us has the same one and we can advise where to stick it - so to speak! Laughing

    Re: New box

That panasonic box is not a PVR - did you want a Sky+ box or just a regular box without disk?

    Re: New box

As far as I am aware, all Sky+ boxes use the same codes so any would work.

    Re: New box

SKY+ have 3 types of PVR, Amstrad, Thomson & Pace boxes. All SKY+ boxes have the SKY+ logo on them. All work with Beo4.

A SKY card has to be matched to the box, so you cant try your card in another box.

Sky sell a box and a card without subscription at this link
