    Another Beogram 6500 problem

    Now my Beogram 6500 will not stop spinning!  Plays records fine and arm returns to "home" position but the turntable will not stop turning.!!! Unless you pull the plug out . It does not start turning though when you plug it back on though.  Anyhelp anyone?

    Check and clean the the 2 contacts 1S1,1S2, at the same time clean and lubricate all mecanics, check Start/Stop on the front panel

    Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

    Thanks for the advice, today i opened up the machine, and poked around a bit. Tried a record and it now stops again!!  I have not actually sorted anything but for now i will see how it goes.

    Clean all old grease and lubricate all moving mecanical parts, carefully with a strip of paper wettet with iso alcohol, clean the contacts, check the manual and check the adjustment part and lubricating chart.

    Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!
