Also available in Red, White and Yellow. As Orange is the most popular colour on this forum I thought it should be shown.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the info!

Why the hell B&O has chosen such a BIG logo???

Imo it's too much bling-bling Sad

Hope it's just a proto, not the final version...

    Cheers,

    Horrible..

By all means brand them, but with that particular logo at that particular size they look more at home in a specialist childrens toy store.

Personally, I'd have favoured the text logo for these.

These are the real deal! I think Tue wants to make much more of a statement and show off the brand logo much more on accessory items to get the name and brand seen?

Modenisation is right. Applying it to an out of date or ageing product smacks of just desperate remarketing. I was not impressed with the Form 2's at all.

Retro and cool, oozing quality. Anyone spot the difference.

    Chris:

You could also spot the difference in price too!

These are cheap headphones aimed at the budget end of the market.  Well, when I say budget, I mean budget B&O buyers!

I'd have kept the headband, but made the ear pads into closed ear.  The Form 2 is an 'out and about' headphone and 'on ear' pads let in so much ambient noise it can make them pretty rubbish to listen to.  You also get a lot of sound 'leakage' when you turn them up - which only serves to annoy the person sitting near or next to you.  First thing they look at in annoyance..  the big 'B&O' logo.

Maybe I'm thinking too much out of the box here and need to shut up and smile sweetly.

I like the big B&O logo on these, I really get the impression that these are being marketed towards the BEATS headphones market.

It's amazing how the young (18+) are buying these for their iPhones etc at £170 upwards. There's a market - I've lost count the amount of times that i've seen 'dudes' with the BEATS Studios at £270!  Most of our DJs use the Solo HD's at £170 (myself included - I love them!)  so yes, I can see who these B&Os are aimed at!!!

I am little worried though, as they don't look as though they sound very good? Has anybody bought these Forms over the years?

    I did m8!

Imo these are very good compared to A8's and 3i's.

They go lower in the bass frequencies and the mid-high ranges seem perfect to me.

I use the Form2 at home when I can't "freely" listen to the music in my living-room (i.e when my wife is watching a cooking tv show and stuffs like this) and I feel them very light and cumfy!

About the 3i's I got them first to run, but as my ears aren't B&O adapted Big Smile I use them when travelling. They are always in my suitcase.

    Wow.

    These are awful.

They look like a color study exercise from a design school's top failing freshman.

Re: Now the Form 2's have had a splash of colour!!!

I love the color orange and actually have always imagined a logo change similar to that before. This answers my "what-if" question once and for all. I think a white version would be acceptable, and to be honest - is overdue.

I don't think I'm brave enough to wear these..

Personally, I can't wait for a set of closed around/over-ear set of B&O cans. I want my B&O sound to myself, and I don't want to hear the world around me. That being said, I still enjoy my Form-2s and adore my A8s.

I have had the Form 2 and currently have a pair of white Dr. Dre Beats.  The Beats are far superior.  The new Form 2 colors do look cool though.  However I don't like the large type.

B&O should do a cross-promotion TV commercial with Audi in the fashion Dr. Dre Beats did with Chrysler.  Link.

That is a very bizarre advert! An ugly huge gas guzzling car with Beats sound system  that's so weird BEATS are bought by young street people. I certainly couldn't see them in Europe driving one of those!

Thank you Linder for your comments. I think the Form @ would look nice in white - like my white SOLO HDs and iBeats :)

Maybe the B&O logo is the new sub brand - now that would be cool!

Re: Now the Form 2's have had a splash of colour!!!

The Boston Acoustics system in the 300C was pretty good. I'm curious as to what's really behind those b's. Not a huge fan of Beats yet, but it would be neat to see a comparo of the two.

Speaking of their (Beats) popularity, it is strong here too, Paul. I have even seen two girls wearing those Solo HDs and the iBeats today. That really suprised me. Better than average headphones, especially Beats, are more of a dude thing.

All this talk about headphones just motivated me to pull out my A8s.

    Hi Evan,

Yes it's a fascinating market that i'm sure Tue will love to tap into. A few years ago the thought of young people spending nearly £300 on a pair of headphones was unthinkable but now...

Beats is very interesting. Very clever marketing, clever use of FaceBook. Im a huge fan of the Solo HDs for their woooompth of bass along with really nice treble. Of course they look cool too which is important to me. Ive got iBeats inner ear for everyday use. I had a pair of A8s which are nice but simply didnt have enough bass for me. In contrast, the iBeats are like having sub woofers in your ears but i find the inner ear style a bit weird and kind of uncomfortable however they totally block all external noise (bit dangerous when im crossing the road though!!!).

Exciting times anyway and as ive said before, ive really got a lot of confidence in Tue - he's a real do'er kind of guy!

Re: Now the Form 2's have had a splash of colour!!!

    Good afternoon Paul,

I previously had a pair Denon C-360s in-ear phones that had a rubber seal. They had bass upon bass upon bass. And not just in quantity, but quality, they were silky smooth down at the bottom. I thought they were the best thing I had ever heard, even in terms of the total spectrum. They were also really comfortable too.

All of that changed when I bought my A8s.

I realized how much I was missing with those Denons. The realism in the A8s is simply unbeatable. I didn't know what midrange was until I started using my A8s - the Denons had absolutely none in comparison. It was hard to adapt to the new lighter bass, but now being accustomed to the A8s, I don't desire any extra. They sound like B&O to me, nice and linear, slightly warm. Perfect.

Soon after I settled into the A8s I gave away my Denons.

    A8s aren't for everyone I guess!

EDIT: In other headphone news, JBL has started again with the Quicksilver brand and are making some decent looking over- ear sets that look like they are aimed right for the Beats. Wouldn't mind having a listen to those.

    Hi Evan,

Oh wow that's interesting about the A8s yes I had mine for a few years and enjoyed their clear sound. I did keep breaking the jacket plug though so I got through a few A8s! Unfortunately my A8s got stolen from the gym that I was training at last year by a little horror!

Interesting about the Denons! I have a love hate relationship with Denon. I manage to break their players in every station I work at! I once had a Denon pro  MiniDisc studio player that managed to wipe an interview I had with the boss of Men's Health magazine. Luckily I had a CD-R back up at home and had to drive 600 miles to pick the thing up  hmmm.

Very interesting with JBL & Quiksilver - Being a watersports fan, Im a huge fan of Quiksilver wetsuits. Looks like everyone is trying to jump on the headphone bandwagan! I do like my Beats though...

Of all the new colours the White look the best! I posted orange for the benefit of Paul. I like the form2's and they are selling well to a younger audience. I can only say that the colour change will bring in the younger much needed market.

Wow that's awesome. I'd like to see a pic of the white ones as they kind of remind me of my white Beats Solo HD's.

How much are these?  My guess is £100?

    Hey Stuart,

Just seen the white ones on your Facebook - They look great. I think that large B&O logo is going to prove popular with the BEATS generation! At 110 they will sell to those who cant quite afford the Solo HDs. Very nice   quite impressed actually.

WOW What a week its been for B&O, first the black framed BV10, then speaker grilles for the BS8 and now these! WOW, what's next...

There are some exciting times ahead and we will find out more at the dealer conference next week. I am so pleased that Tue is at the helm, he is the man to make a change and progress. Going back to the Form 2s the White version are stunning!
