Splitting the brand recognition to get more recognition?  Luckily someone is already using Quickster.

Bang and Olufsen has been in North America for almost 40 years and is still largely unknown.  I guess adding more stores may make a difference.

Re: Bang & Olufsen Plans Sub-Brand To Expand Base

    Dear Peter and Svend fans,

We could start a "guess it" game for the name of the new brand.

I will start with something never seen before : YNOS or EWEOL.

Or, how about Struer A/V or Struer Electronics ?

    Good luck B & O.

    Cheers,

    Gregory

Any plan to broaden the appeal of the brand is good. I only hope this doesn't preclude readdressing the pricing structure of the existing products.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Hint: With a bit of searching it can already be found online.

Another hint: not on the B&O website :-)

Re: Bang & Olufsen Plans Sub-Brand To Expand Base

So I know you guys are all using wordPLAY as a joke ....

My question is how do you have this information on the new name to PLAY with? Where did you find out.... ?

And someone mentioned that the information is availible on the internet? I cannot find anything from my searches, can you point me in the right direction?

I also think this new sub brand is an excellent idea, I myself am probably B&O's perfect target for the new brand, young, not a very high amount of disposable income to spend on B&O equipment, but I love the brand and the products! Everything I own would be B&O if I could afford it and hopefully with the sub brand I can! Excellent.

Re: Bang & Olufsen Plans Sub-Brand To Expand Base

If that was supposed to be a clue then I don't understand it.

Why are we talking in riddles anyway. Do you guys have some sort of insider information that you're not supposed to disclose?

Can someone not just put the link up?

It's ok Wattso the silly boys are playing and being very childish :)

The name is Bang and Olufsen!!!

A sub brand is when a company is looking to branch out into other fields or specialise in certain areas just like B&O is trying to do to make their name a bit cooler, funky, less stiff for us young, fun living dudes!

I like your attitude Wattso and I hope you have god times with the new B&O products

Re: Bang & Olufsen Plans Sub-Brand To Expand Base

Hey Paul, a sub brand would involve a new name for the sub brand / range of products. Which is quite obviously going to be called PLAY. All I want to know is how these guys know it's going to be called play.... :P And if there's any mroe info out there that I'm missing, as I can't wait to get my hands on the stuff.

Hope the first play product comming in november is an airplay compatible speaker! ohhhh maybe thats why it's called play? Cool
