I do not mean anything against b/o products I worked for a dealer for 17 years and have met many people who I can call customers and friends. This one individual customer, has now reached an age where he is not wanting to buy another b & o set, but would like to use his beolab speakers and subwoofer, in the set up with a non b & o tv, I was just wondering if that would be possible :)

Very possible. But, you will need a new audiomaster. Most common (and currently popular) way to do this is to use a non-B&O receiver. Onkyo seems to be the choice around here, but anything with volume controlled pre-outs will do just fine.

Connections will be made via mono RCA cables, you will have to set the speakers to line-in mode.

P.S. Just make sure what ever panel/videomaster he ends up with has an audio output of a form compatible with your new audiomaster. Lately, flat panels manufacturer's have been skimping on this area and only incorporate only one type.

Best thing would be the flat screen connected to an amplifier with line outs for active speakers, and from there to the speakers, I use a bigger Onkyo, but a small one will do if its only for TV sound and 5 channel, you will have to check which type of subwoofer can be connected.
