    beomaster 6500

hi will the beomaster 6500 power the beovox 3800 speakers and 1001 speakers also ? and is it better than the beomaster 4000 tuner and amp ?

    Re: beomaster 6500

The BM6500 will power all Beovox and Beolabs as well. Some Beovox would be better suited though. The output is mot likely around 2*55 not 110 as stated so make sure the Beovox's can handle that.

What is better is up to you and your ears. Do you like the design better? Do you like the sound better?

Do you need everything being controlled with a Beolink 100 /Beo4 or MCP6500?

A BM4000 is late '70s and a good one if it still works correctly.

    Re: beomaster 6500

I would actually say that the older Beomaster 4000 would be more reliable today than Beomaster 6500.

The convenient design with DataLink on all outputs, Acess to use active BeoLabs and remote controls can cause some problems. They can be solved, but the 4000 has the advantage of being of a simpler design.

I like both Beomasters a lot, having the Beomaster 4400 which is a big brother to the 4000 and a Beomaster 5500 which is exactly the same as a 6500 Smile
