Beosound 8 - an amazing response

This is getting sily. I have a lot of B&O kit and, at the moment, am working from home (it's a cool home to work from though ;). As part of this role, I have a fair few people visiting my house for business meetings (we're in magazine publishing, so get a lot of PR people paying a visit).

Since buying the Beosound 8, every single person who has visited my home/office, has commented on the device, has wanted a demo and has left impressed. Forget the BV7, forget the BS4, forget my BS3, Beocom 5s, BL3s or other B&O products, they generally go without comment. It's the Beosound 8 that attracts attention - the amount of PR women who "approve" of the Beosound 8, is surprising.

Funnily enough, the general consensus is that they assume a £2000 valuation. When told it's only £890, they leave genuinely surprised.

So, the consensus here is that, if you want to impress in business, get a Beosound 8 :)

Very interesting and positive responses you have received. I don't really have the need for one but may have to go have a closer look, find a need to bring back a bit of the B&O wow factor into my place

I genuinely think people are very surprised by the juxtaposition of the B&O kit with an Apple iPad.

I would add that people are astonished that you can find music, streamed wirelessly from a NAS located in another room, via a few swipes of the iPad, in addition to the sound quality. It also backs up what I've been saying about the Encore. People will be more impressed with an iPad controller than a 3-lever approach to locating tracks. They love the idea of having an iPad and then docking it with the BS8 when they want to hear their music.

The BeoSound 8 is the most practical product they have released to date. I have one in the home gym and have thought of putting another one in the garage. Awesome device for the size and price.

BeoVision 7-55 3D, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound 8, BeoLab 7-6, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, LC-1, BeoTime (analog clock), Form 1 headphones, Beo 4 remote.
